I just seen a guide for doing an oil change on a GTI and noticed that on the oil filter housing there was a plastic tube in the center of the oil filter housing for centering the oil filter element.
When I done an oil change that plastic tube definitely wasn't in the oil filter housing.
So I'm guessing I should replace the housing ASAP and another oil change.
Has anyone bought the filter housing recently and know the cost?
