Thats the thing... the ST i drove was the 260 mountune version. Yet barely a sausage in it and my "311" bhp.  :surprised:

Think I've read previously the Mountune packages do have more oomph than they suggest on paper. Not wanting to step on the RS's toes for instance was the reason I think!

It was the 260 VS the RS that Evo tested. The RS was only quicker from something like 100-130mph in 5th

The early RS's didn't make 300bhp due to problems with intake pipes getting crushed under acceleration. The Mountune kits make 260bhp all long. . . Some have made 280-300bhp  :surprised:

@Richwig - it's the torque and the power curve that makes it quicker. Bare in mind it's also a K04 but with an extra cylinder and 500cc it will spool that turbo quicker and give much more mid-range  :happy2:

Nick @ R-Tech has started mapping them - with typical great results

Yea in the test the st was quicker but as said early RSes only made 280 ish bhp until the map update was released my 2012 RS made 307 bhp standard with only 2k on the clock so I was happy with that.

The RS and ST are brilliant cars but the RS drives and grips a lot better than the ST, it really is epic
Best car I've every driven....

The ST chews through more fuel than the rs for some reason but even the rs is pretty greedy I averaged 24 mpg in mine over 7-8k and I spent 2k of that running the car in below 3k revs

Even the standard st is about 3 seconds quicker round the ring than an edition 30
