Best place to get new keys?
« on: January 30, 2013, 10:44:41 pm »
My keys look a bit worn and grubby so was thinking of getting some new ones. Where's the best place to get new keys taking into consideration quality and price? I've had my existing keys apart, so can just swap the inners to the new ones. Cheers.

Why not just get a cover for it? They're cheap and some look ok. Loads on ebay etc and OSIR even used to do one IIRC, bit of bling!

Anywho,  probably the best place for an OEM one is the Stealers! Or these peeps....

I changed my two keys over yesterday using eBay cases...
I will post a pic for you tomorrow but they look just like genuine parts and were £4.99 posted.

Dunno how much an OEM replacement case it but I'd guess a site more so if the eBay special brakes in the future @ a fiver ill just swap it again as its a piece of piss to do  :happy2:

Cheers for the link. Has anyone changed the VW key logo/badge to one of the GTI ones on eBay? If so which seller do peeps recommend?

I just bought MK5 GTi and it only had one key. Quick bit of eBaying, and a guy in Torquay had extremely high quality non-OEM keys. Cut and coded for £75. Fraction of dealer cost. It depends where you are.
