I'd say yay - remove it. On a car like that, it works better without it.

And definitely get the lower splitter section in black.

Looks good, although with it being the red badge it does look a lot better than the original silver lettering,

I leave all three of mine on.
Even though I have white E30 with black Monzas, I let the people know that this is a GTI Edition 30.
