Kenwood DNX Units
« on: February 06, 2013, 05:42:54 pm »
I ordered a Kenwood DNX520VBT off eBay yesterday (just have to impatiently wait for it to turn up now!)

I was wondering just how easy they are to fit? I've seen Youtube videos of how to disassemble the dash and remove the current radio unit. I was just wondering if anyone can confirm if its a case of just taking your time and it's actually quite easy, or whether it is worth getting someone else to do it?

I'd say I'm reasonably experienced taking computers etc apart, but never really fiddled around with car bits before.

Thanks for your help.

It is in fact pretty easy and straight forward to do... You may or may not require additional parts for the Headunit such as fascia panel, aerial adapters etc.

Apart from a few scuffed knuckles you'll be fine fella  :happy2:
If you're having Audio problems i feel bad for ya son... I've got 99 problems but Bass aint one!

I've got the same unit in mine. It was in the car when i bought it, but it should be easy to fit as the fascia size looks to be the same as standard. Now i just need to figure out how to get video in motion working, or a workaround.
