Is 10MPG worrying from K03 Stage 1 Pre-cat delete?
« on: February 02, 2013, 09:39:32 pm »
K03 247bhp / 295lbft, so nothing serious... reset fuel computer today just before some very spirited driving over a few miles (completely empty track)... returned 10MPG!!

Had oil change / plugs less than 1k ago, all warmed up, no error codes.

Just thinking there might be something wrong with that sort of MPG.  Is this about right for track driving?
I've noticed that the MPG has been getting progressively worse in normal use too.

Worst I've got to a tank is 160miles (spirited driving) and I've seen people post that have done even less on track days

I had my GTI down to 8 mpg at the Nurburgring GP circuit.   :driver:

The cold weather won't help either. 10mpg is possible with a mapped car

I used to get <4mpg from my GTR on a track day so I think 10mpg is quite frugal really!! :happy2:

That would work out at almost 4 gallons for a lap of the Nurburgring VLN circuit (14.7 miles). Or £25 in fuel a lap!!

Yep, the joys of nigh on 600 Bhp .I used to do 2 laps, 3 was running too close to being empty, then pop down to the petrol station to fill up again. I was getting 44-46 miles to a tank.

Got to be worth it though for the smiles it must bring!
