Airbag fault
« on: February 03, 2013, 02:34:46 pm »
I was taking my HU out yesterday and disconnected the cables with the top vent (airbag light) before disconnecting my battery. Being daft I decided to quickly check if I had left any CD's in. Before disconnecting the battery and removing the HU.

The 'airbag fault' is now lighting up when putting the ignition on. I've tried leaving the battery off for 30 mins to see if it magically reset.

Is there anything I can do? Or is it a VCDS / dealer jobby?

You need vcds to clear the fault so check the register for someone local and state your location should in case an unregistered member lives close by. It's a 2 minute job.
