Hi All,
Having a few problems with my GTI it's a 2005 (05)
1) Starting the car doesn't always start first time and when it does it use to always rev just over the 1000rpm and then after a minute would drop drop. Now I've noticed that most of the time after a cold start it goes straight down to 600/700 should I be worried that it's not doing what it usually does?
2) When driving and turning to the right there a creaking sound when you steer to the right and sometimes I can hear like a knock when moving ever so slightly and turning to the left or the right. Has been into a VW specialist when it was serviced in October and they couldn't find anything?
3) I've noticed now when in neutral the car revs over 1000rpm and sometimes it will either go back up and down to 600rpm or just stay on 1000rpm until I put it into drive. (DSG by the way)
4) Seem to be losing coolant every month I have to top it up as it comes up with Coolant warning. Something simple I can check?
Had a full service in October last year including Plugs etc and DSG service also.
