....That would be an excellent idea.

Same recording equipment on same day and same sequence of recording events = A much more realistic comparison.

....Don't knock it until you've tried it - It's a great zimmer frame, custom built by Halfrauds (not Milltek nor VWR!) in pink, and doubles as a chair.

Is it the new 3" diameter catless zimmerframe being roadtested currently by you RR?

Specs...

3" straight through piping with lighteight montube design for easy direction changes
Race spec solid rubber base mounts for all terrain feedback
Nomex heated handrails for all weather grip.

 :innocent:
Golf R gone.

:signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: - Nice one!

The ability to quickly change direction for chicanery is invaluable. It also has one or two other specs I can't tell you about but after it's been publicly released you won't be able to shut me up!

A full review will be posted in due course.

P.S. - Sincerest apologies to the OP but off-topic banter is very difficult to avoid on forums. < Perhaps I should write that in my sig so that I don't have to keep repeating it.

Thanks for all your reply's some of which off topic but a giggle a minute

I'm at the point of discussing options of APR FP Stage 1 FP map or going the whole hog with stage 2 and exhaust...watch this space :driver:
Pearl Black Edition 30 3 Door. DSG. (3rd Edition 30)
Maybe on the too do list: APR Stage 2+, KW Clubsports, Brakes, Diff.

For the ED30 / Pirelli editions...
Am I right in thinking the Milltek TBE aren't 3" the whole way back?
i.e. they drop back to 2.75" after the downpipe, as they do with a standard GTI system.
i'd have thought the extra airflow from a k04 would benefit from the larger volume.

On the surface my options were similar to the OP - Milltek or APR (3" right through), but now I'm considering the Milltek catted DP and having a 3" custom rear section made locally. Any thoughts on that approach?

After reading how some of the APR guys are acting on golfmkv.com, I'm not too keen on supporting that company anymore.

I went out in "white Gti's" with the APR TBE and i loved it, normal driving was near as damn it stock but under the loud pedal it was really raspy and plenty of pops. Has certainly made an inpact, when i do the zorst i will listen to a BF and a Milly but they both have an upward battle to beat the APR!! :happy2:

I bought the APR RSC and haven't regretted it a second, even the missus is getting used to it. I've had it for 4 month  :driver:

Over the top mod list ;o)
