Xenon headlights
« on: November 26, 2008, 10:47:57 pm »
Sorry I know this is not GTi related but I'm looking at a GT Sport and I'm wanting xenon headlights.  :ashamed:

I've found one but the xenons don't appear as I'd expected, not darkened lenses and there's seems to be a funny border around them, do you think they're genuine VW?

Here is what I expected them to look like.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Stephen.

As per the golfgti forum reply, that car looks like it has a lens protector over the head light unit.

VW sells the lens protector for around £30 iirc

Officially you are not supposed to but those who have done so haven't reported any problems.
