Xenon headlights

Sorry I know this is not GTi related but I'm looking at a GT Sport and I'm wanting xenon headlights.  :ashamed:

I've found one but the xenons don't appear as I'd expected, not darkened lenses and there's seems to be a funny border around them, do you think they're genuine VW?


Here is what I expected them to look like.

As per the golfgti forum reply, that car looks like it has a lens protector over the head light unit.

VW sells the lens protector for around £30 iirc

Can you get lens protectors in black? I think i quite like the look.

i didnt think you was allowed to put lens protectors over xenon lights ?
