GTi Perelli HN09 OTT

Hi guys & lasses(not forgetting you girls)

Just wondered if my old Perelli ever popped up on here after I "Backed" it back to Peter Cooper in Southampton

Just jog people's memory it had a knocking noise from the rear end and the techie's couldn't find a fix.

That would be me now. It's wearing my own plate though.
No knocking from the rear end now, but they had replaced one shock absorber. Bilstein B12 kit fitted now though

When you say 'Backed' what are you eluding to?  Anything I should know before my warranty runs out  :wink:?? I know it had some bodywork done...not that they told me that.  :fighting:

Had the wheels sorted out too. You'll find some pictures around here of it if you look.

Found this pic, pre B12 kit though.

God she looks good

The only body work I had them do was when I bought it was the front bumper was peppered

Backed is a term used when you return a car to the dealer, they told me they replaced the whole rear end and the noise was there.

Also you will notice I had the hot climate grills fitted and if you don't already know you can drive and watch a DVD, I had VrStu from here switch on the function.

Well glad to see that she is loved as much as me, if you go to all my posts you will see some nice shots with an original silver Perelli edition

With the greatest of respect to Peter Cooper JKM's servicing and care has totally eclipsed anything I've ever had from a main dealer. That goes for Seat  & Skoda also.

I'm really enjoying the car, I can tend to get bored quickly and sell them on before a year is up but not this one. Out of choice I had a full suspension change out done. B12 kit, ARB's changed, alloy S3 wishbones and WALK kit. It's made a massive difference, couldn't over state the improvement.

I had noticed the fact that DVD plays whilst on the move, was pleased to find that. Not sure what the hot climate grills are though??

Oh, on day 2 of ownership I had a Revo stg1 done by JKM  :pomppomp:

Hot climate grills...just found out what they are. I'd noticed they were different (and better looking) than the filled in version. Have another gold star!  :congrats:

More air to reach parts of the engine to cool it

Colder denser air = better bang

Have tried the launch control function on it yet, tried it ONCE as it scared the wife (teach her for getting bored on a journey and reading the manual)

What output does the JKM give now?

Normally push output upto around 280bhp, and another 50Lb ft of torque

Not too shabby ESP coupled to the DSG box makes a more drivable car

Just bought a M135i was thinking of taking it to DMS in Totton, got fed up with have too much horse power on the C63 AMG 487 was stupid even the lightest right foot I used to slide.

Put car in S or Manual. Turn off the traction control. Foot on brake, whilst holding brake, try revving engine , if the engine won't rev past 3000, your ready for the off, release foot brake and hold on!!!!!!

You wont find in your manual...  think the wife tore it out when she found out what it did, think I scared the poor little lamb lol :driver:

My boyfriend used to own this pirelli golf!! He sold it back to Peter Coopers, before you guys purchased it!!
if you want to know the history of it when he owned it, just ask!! lol

Didn't he have some issues that Peter cooper couldn't fix??? Or it was a long saga if I recall ?
