My first problem !

After 40140 miles, and a 13 months of ownership (since new) i had my first ever problem.

The EML came on, but the car ran fine, i cleared of the fault, a couple of hour later it came back - popped to VW, got the car booked in, had the sensor replaced. (pressure sensor for the difference pre and post DPF (thats not there)lol)

Not bad, it's the first real problem thats put a light on the dash

Mines a 170 diesel, and has been 200+ bhp since 800 miles old.

I drive it like i stole it most of the time, and upto now only really had a door card replaced (it rattled) and the wiperblades in the first week.

99% of probs on modern cars are down to some sort of exhaust/emmision sensor.

My wife had an emmision sensor problem on both her 1.6 Mk4 and her current 1.6 Mk5.
My sister had the same issue with 2 Mk5's  It sure is a common fault.

how much did it cost to sort it?
I have the EML light on mine, it is still under warranty but is a 180 mile round trip, so would prefer to sort it locally if its cheap enough?

I'm not sure m8 but AFAIR it was around £65.

It was done under warranty

But the part is circa £60 and piss easy to do
