Cant see why they paid that, when they should have said 'beyond economical repair'!

Yeah but then they would have to oay him what its worth today, and that is 3.5million! Seems the 910k was the cheap option!
Hard to see how it was even repairable.

I think it will polish out. I want to phone up an insurance company pretend to be Rowan and see what a quote is with a £1 million previous accident.

Do you think that's a record for the quickest engine removal!!!!

And a distance of 20 yards the engine landed!!!

Mr Bean is lucky still to be with us looking at those pictures! :surprised:

I wonder what his excuse was, i mean he was obviously doing the speed limit, 6.1 V12's are commonly known for being light and travel some distance in a crash!

I remember the crash in 2011, had no idea the claim was still outstanding.

I was thinking this as its the 2nd prang he's had in it, the HPI check would make interesting reading.

Saying that its been repaired by Maclaren themselves, I think the article said its been there for 16months, so it's probably been completely rebuilt, especially if you think the car originally cost ~£600k and the claim was for £910k

Hats off to Rowan though for using a car rather than leaving it parked up.  :congrats:

+1

There are so many cars like this just parked up in a 'collectors' garage not being used for the purpose they were built for!
