was changing my Revision D diverter for G today when i saw oil on the sensor connection that plugs into the DV. on removing it there was oil inside, not a massive amount but a bit. is that normal? cant remember there being any when i changed from the B to D

also i am going to have to get 3 new bolts from VW as one of the bolts heads was smoothing out from a hexagon shape to a circle  :sad1: so have to wait till tomorrow to get it back on.
when i changed mine 2 weeks ago mine had oil in it too i have asked the same question was this normal but no answer so hopefully can get an answer on here

was just about to list my Revision D Diverter Valve for sale when i saw these cracks in 2 of the 3 bolting points!

I had mine changed just before the remap last Friday and went for a G on my K03. The rev C that was taken off was fine so don't think I'll have any issues with the G and as mentioned it holds boost better :happy2:

well i got the 3 new screws from VW today, bolted it on, and i was surprised at the difference!

my old one REV D pictured above with cracking around the screw holes must have either behaved differently or was having a boost leak of some sorts.

the engine feels a little more responsive, but the main difference is the noise the P-Flo makes. It is now a more sucking sound thats quieter, but feels like its doing its job better? if that makes any sense? before the P-Flo was quite loud when accelerating a bit harder in a low rev situation but now its not.

weird. anyway i will test some more but im really surprised at the difference. i thought it wouldnt be anything at all that i could hear.

G revision for both K04 and K03  the D versions leaks straight away some are leaking even before being fitted to the car...

  The G will last a few years and cost less than 40quid to replace "IF" it splits, but I have 100s of K03s running the G and so far I have had no reports of one splitting.

Have D fitted on mine, but have a G in the cupboard... by all accounts, D won't fail like the diaphragm models do (tearing) but do leak, which is as good as, isn't it --- go for G, asnd think of it as a replaceable part every 18 months or so.

Golly! I thought that VW had at last solved their very longstanding DV issues. Hopefully they have done so with the revision G.

I'm glad to say that my Forge DV has so far lasted without any issues for what must be about 6 years - I had one from the very first batch.

Bad advise G as the Ds dont seal, and the idea of the DV is to seal under load.

Between £30 to £50 depending where you buy
To Fit:
K03 is wheels up
K04 under the bonnet
30 mins either way, tops.
