As per the title. It's the start of the Mongol Rally.

So went to this today. How bizarre.
Any car is allowed but only up to 1.3 and over 10 years old. There can be exceptions if it is interesting. Some of the cars looked lucky to make the start.

The object of the excercise apart from making money for charities is to transport the vehicles to Ulaan Bator and leave them to be used as emergency vehicles in some cases.

Anyway enough blurb some photos.

I must admit it was the most bizarre and varied collection of vehicles I have seen for some time.

The Fire Engine called Great Balls of Fur is actually covered in fur.  :surprised:

The Pantera and 'finished' Imps came very late. We think they had helped the Mission Imp-possible car as it was still without radiator on thursday. :surprised:

The Polo's done in Force India colours were my favourite.
