Have you recently added after market HID lights. Also, have you checked the fuse to see if it has blown?

Could be your bonnet latch sensor? If it thinks your bonnet is open then they won't work. Of it could be the wiper motor or as suggested above the fuse.

In order of expense I'd check the fuse first, then the bonnet catch. Get it scanned too to see if that throws up anything.

Good luck

^^ Was going to be my suggestion too...

Does your rear one still work?  If so I'd be inclined to think bonnet catch (when mine stopped working it was just because the bonnet wasn't shut properly  :ashamed:)

Vcds scan might make things easier too, anyone in your area have it?

Hope you get it sorted!

No hid mate :) yeah tried the 15amp fuse its still good even swapped it to be sure still nothing and bonnet is closed proper as always

It happened when driving it went half way up and then stopped :(

Thinking the motor has burned out

How hard are they to swap over ?

Cheers for the input guys :)

Yeah rear one works perfect

THe motor is fairly easy to get to and is located under the scuttle panel which is the black plastic trim under the windscreen wipers.

The wiper mechanism is easy to remove, getting the wiper arms could be difficult. What you need is a wiper arm puller, something along the lines of this would do the trick.

That is to remove the wiper arms. If you have had the arms off recently and they came off easily you shouldn't need a puller.

Cheers yeah comes apart easy enough had to put it together many times now and again tomorrow :(

In the end it was not the motor that let go  but the actual arm and mech itself has seized solid no movement at all which led to main 25 amp fuse to let go aswell :( changed motor and arms never moved and with 2 of us pulling it side to side no movement so back to overpriced for a mech assembly in the morning

Hoping this sorts my issue out or car will be getting traded in for a newer model :-)
