Was reading about this today - there's an article in 'Classic & Sports car' mag. I picked it up just to read about this, as I thought the car was beyond repair when I read about the crash a few years ago.
That's a massive insurance claim for sure! Given the price of an F1 though, I can sort of see why it was repaired vs. a total loss payout.
Some pretty major work happened - the tub is still original, but the car has a new floor. It says all the running gear, brakes, and suspension was subjected to stress tests and crack detection to in McLaren's F1 workshops.
Fair play to Rowan for using it, though. 38k on the clock!
