Std spec on early cars?

I've got an 08 ED30. I've got 8 speakers, did the early GTIs have more than this?

I don't think the late models have leather as standard tbh.

I might be wrong, but wasn't one of the spec upgrades as part of the Ed30 spec to have 10 speakers?

No , thats not part of the Ed30 spec , the early cars had 10 speakers , I am pretty sure that by the time the Ed30s came out they had cut 2 speakers.

Mid range on door speakers. If you look at the door there are three holes. The ones in the middle where cut!

Counted the speakers on my ED30 today and there are infact 10 speakers.

Its a lot of speakers for a small car, but it doesn't sound all that great tbh.

Remember the hole will still be there just may not be anything behind it
