ED30 rear valance
« on: February 10, 2013, 09:58:06 pm »
I'm wanting to vinyl wrap the diffuser part on my rear bumper. Does this part come off the bumper and if so, how?

cheers.

Shame that. Would have made wrapping a lot easier.

I'm challenged enough with my dissertation lol!

Seriously tho, I like things to be perfect so it will take me ages and I'll have to roll all over the ground to get it right lol.

Job for next weekend I think.

Ive got one thats already wrapped in 3M-Carbon. You can have it for £50  :happy2:

In some sunlight you may be able to see a slight mark near the N/S wheel. This might polish out but I cant guarantee it  :innocent:

^^^^ Ouch!! :sad1:

Vinyl wrapped mine. Not easy but definitely a DIY job as long as you take your time. Make sure its a dry day as you'll spend a lot of time laying on the ground....

I plan on doing the same to mine...rolling about on the ground in this weather is never an encouraging thought!

Been looking at this myself, does the exhaust 'trim' piece detach and get wrapped separately?

^^^^ No. It's all one big piece. Due to the intricate nature of that particular part and all the curves involved its easier to wrap that separately. Mine has been on a year and is still the same as the day it was done. The heat from the exhaust on the vinyl is not an issue either, I have mine wrapped all the way under the valance as far as it would go.

I think he means the tiny rim of plastic that goes round the edge of the exhaust cut out ?

^^^^ yes.

That is also part of the lower bumper/valance and yes the whole thing is from one giant mould. Nothing (apart from the tow eye cover) is a separate piece.
