Wiring for cruise control?
« on: February 11, 2013, 03:50:19 pm »
I know theres threads about this but i couldnt find the answer i wanted so be patient  :innocent:

I went to the stealers today to ask about retrofitting this, they said £127 fitted which i was keen for, however he said if the wiring isnt there itll be nearer £300 :surprised:

So basically, is there anyway of telling if the wiring is there without tearing everything apart?
If not, what do i take off and what do i look for?

Cheers guys :drinking:

I think EddieNL is the guy to be asking about this on here - he seems to have very good feedback on helping people with things just like this I believe

its not as bad as you think..When Ed did mine i had already removed the wipes arms and scuttle panel..then feed a piece of wire from inside the car to the ecu ; Think it took an hour to do the job lot

Got my car in '05 with an '05 plate. Don't know if it had a wire or not, but VW charged me £167 all in to retro fit cruise last year.

Iv just bought a cruise stalk off vee-dubber, if the wire is already there in my car, do I just need to plug and play and then have someone activate in vcds?
