If that's your vin code then you have the wire already installed?

If your vin says your car is a 2006 car then it will be ok

don't go by reg as some cars were not registered straight away

That's interesting I have a tdi in s spec and was told by vw it would be £300  even thou it is a 57 plate with a 08 build ...

As you have an S spec you need a controller

If it helps when you look at the wiring unit under the steering column the wire you need for cruise is a single black and white wire. I have this on good authority 

My car is an 05 GTI and it had the wire. Thank f$*k for that. Golfman fitted mine.
