hello,

girlfriend has managed to brick her iphone, its stuck in recovery mode. tried tiny umbrella to force it out of DFU but it just turns off then comes back on, still in recovery. only need the photos off it then quite happy to do a full restore via itunes but that will flash the phone and photos will be lost i assume...anyone had the same problem or got any suggestions?

I assume you have tried the restart method, by holding lock and home button down together?

Have you tried it while connected and disconnected to the PC?

yeah tried both it just turns off and comes back on in DFU.

When was the last backup to iTunes ? I bricked mine but iTunes was up to date and put it back just fine.

If the photos are stored on the icloud you shouldnt lose them, especially if you have other icloud devices, imac, ipad etc
