It CAN be coded off with VagCom but it takes away the auto-dim rear view mirror function too, from what I remember.

Thats no great loss, can't remember the last time someone was blinding me from the rear!!

I find mine quite useful with the amount of *silly people* round here with HIDS in halogen headlights.

Maybe for you, but for me it is a necessity. I require glasses to drive at night as my eyes can't cope with the differing brightnesses of the cars lights and the dark, and the dimming of the rear view really helps with that =/

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets annoyed by the rain sensing wipers! One technological advance too far in my book!

I think I read somewhere the rainsensing module can be swapped for an intermittent one? Any truth to this?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
