BBS real or reps
« on: February 14, 2013, 08:29:12 pm »
Is there a way of telling if BBS CH 025 alloys are real or reps?

I have seen these on ebay and the seller thinks they are real but the £400 BIN price makes me think different.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bbs-ch-alloys-18in-5x112-stud-pattern-fit-vw-merc-many-others-/190798422016?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&fits=Car+Make%3AVW&hash=item2c6c78e000

Help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Looking at the pics they have bbs stamped into them, but I've always thought when there painted like that they were reps. I've never come across reps stamped up with bbs before though...so who knows! Haha

Too good too be true?

My thoughts also, why would anyone buy a set of £1300 wheels and sell them on for £400.
Either :stupid: or more money than sense

I bought a set that ended up being fakes and they had bbs stamped on the outside.

Real bbs ch's should have bbs, the offset (ET??) and the model (ch025) stamped on the outside.

I got rid of the fakes and bought proper 19" ones instead.

Genuine wheels

The ones in the eBay link are fake.

Ch025 should be et50.
