Servicing how to ?

Hi guys ive made a decision that from
Now on i want to be servicing my car my self . Because my car has done already 120.000 miles and i want to keep it for as long as i can so i dont think i will be needing stamps on the book to show to buyer to say look ive services it . Can anyone give me some tips on how to ? Mines a Tdi by the way.

Which TDI is it 1.9, 2.0 1.4bhp (BKD engine) or 2.0 170BHp (BKM)

The MK5 TDI is pretty easy to self service, have a look at some of the videos on Youtube for guidance.

The Mk4 130 1.9 is even simpler than the mkv bkd - have plenty info on both and can email you all you need to do the jobs yourself!

And what tool would i need like removal tool for the filter ?

I know on the bkd engine its a 32mm shallow socket you need to get the oil filter out.
How hard can it be?
