I've remapped with AMD, de-catted and have a GTi backbox, i'm was around the 200bhp mark last time it was on the rollers, since then I have replaced the turbo and it goes a little quicker now.

Ok, I'm sure the map will get done ASAP but I want to get past the 200 mark at least!

Which car/year/engine is it you are looking at?

200hp is not simple, sure it can be done but a new turbo is needed as a minimum.  I'd  suggest that maybe you buy something with more power as standard if you're determined for over 200hp :)

I'm just about to look into going for a remap. What's people's verdict on places to go.

Heard a lot of good about darkside. But a little more expensive than other places.

R-tech I have heard good about. Little
Bit cheaper. ;)

What's people's thoughts? Or experiences?

Was that on AMD's rollers though?

Go to R-Tech. Nuff said really. They are very highly recommended on the forum (I was pleased with my map from them).  :happy2:

when you say 'on order' is it a new van? if so, the new 136/140/143 bhp common rail engines will tune to 190bhp and 300 ftlb from a stg1 and with dpf removal stg2 will see 220bhp and 340ftlb.

Is this the same engine fitted to mk6 golfs?

Is that not a bit optomistic for the 140 CR turbo? I thought them figures would be more for the 170. Interesting as i have a Passat 2.0 TDI CR 140 on order .

There are different 2.0 tdi 140's - PD's & CR's. just had my PD done last Friday by Paul from Angel tuning. Great map - loads better mid-range, mine was bogging down badly sometimes, but that's been sorted. I'm not chasing a figure. But uprated brakes are next on my list! Along with coilovers!!

I took my 140tdi to R-tech and came out with a 185tdi.........couldn't be happier. But......now I need better brakes so Jonny and DaveB are currently sorting it out for me! Can't wait.

Not at all, it's a great engine to tune and big numbers and flat torque curves are easy to achieve with lots of work on the map.
