dash fault now non start

i have a mojor fault with my gti
it started with when turning left, both dials would drop and all the warnings lights would come on once steering wheel was in straight ahead posistion would go off or turning right would be fine was only happening when turning left, this was hapening for a couple of hours then the air bag light stayed on constant but was still faulting when turning left
got the codes read cant rember the exact codes but were lost coms with instrument cluster an lost coms with air bag module
i have had the steering wheel module replaced with new module and still the fault is present
now the car is intermitant none starting aswell as old fault
does anyone have any ideas what could be at fault?
i am thinking cluter fault but dont want to just replace and still have fault
any ideas would be greatfull

Sounds like a damaged wiring loom. Have a good look under the steering column and visually inspect the wiring. Also check to make sure that any interior body earth straps are still connected and not damaged.

Has there been any recent modifications to the electrical system?
