LOL. No worries guys. Its still fairly on topic!  :signLOL:

I managed 45mpg out of a Mk2 Golf running an ABF 2.0 16v. It was a peach too, running really nice power.

Ive had nearly 600 miles out of 2 full tanks. With mostly short journeys, so im not having enough fun in the car compared to a few of you.

Any pics?

Managed to upload some pics:

If you've had 15 of em mate you're entitled to be.  I spent half the day at Inters back in 1997 searching the car park for another Llahsa Green Mk2 like mine, only found 2 others in a sea of 6000+ GTi's. So its really me who's a geek.  :nerd:

Speaking to another owner, there was a dealer up North somewhere that ordered 8 in Llahsa for a promotion, all 3 doors.
I guess they're rare as hens teeth now.  :surprised:

I have been quite surprised with the S3, it is actually quite economical! I reguarly get above 35mpg (not driving like a granny either) and get around 350 miles to a tank. My old Edition 30 drunk like Gascoigne  :surprised:
