Many people on here frequent the Piston heads forums?

Thoughts?

Agreed with above, and there are some real obnoxious twats on there, I am happy reading and not posting.

When posting... Make sure your post is airtight or prepare yourself for 15 pages of abuse.

I only look at the non-car threads actually... Cooking, electrics, DIY etc.

The place is full of trolls. Good to go on there to have a read and a giggle at times, but usually most topics end up with loads of meaningless drivel banter

Only been on 2/3 times in the last 6 years. Got hooked on a couple of threads and couldnt get away :signLOL:
One was an integra driver who wiped out a motorcycle and went to prison (came across as a genuine honest guy if a little too fast)
IIRC the police used evidence gained from his forum posts to build a character profile to use in court :surprised: :surprised:
Other was the presenter from 5th gear who responded to a post (genuine??)

Classified prices seem to be a bit on the high side

This. It can be funny watching Diesel vs Petrol threads or similar descend very quickly.

But there is a lot of flaming/trolling.

The Jason Plato/ Birds Custard thread was the funniest thing I've ever read and went on for 50 or so pages from recollection... I might look it up and read it again now you've reminded me of it

I've been a member on there for more than ten years, still visit regularly but I spend a lot less time in the forums than I used to..  and post very infrequently now.
