That one is correct. Can't think of anywhere else online, but a VW dealer might well be cheaper.

Rev D would be best as it is a piston type so less chance of the heat from the turbo splitting the rubber.

Rev G would be better as it seals better but you would have to check it every year and its a fiddly job to do on a k03

Is this just as simple as swappin the old for the new part then job done? Or are VCDs needed to code the new part to prevent warning lights?

Thanks, craig.

Can anybody explain to me a few things. First what the hell are they, what do they do and where are they on the car? What comes as standard on a MK5 GTi 55 reg and would it be worth upgrading? If I did upgrade what would I notice?

Thanks all will be ordering it tonight, i actually found it cheaper if u go directly on to there website GermanAutoSpares and not though ebay its 29pound but i haven't looked up the delivery yet.

I'll done a lot of research in to either revision G or D and chose to go with the G, I'm hoping to get her booked to to have eibach sport line springs fitted and while he was there though I may as well get the precat removed and replace the Diverter Valve too. Then hopefully a remap later on in the year.

A Diverter Valve is directly on ko3 turbos on the standard GTIs and it stops pressure being pushed into the engine/turbo when you take your foot off the accelerator so you don't cause problems it also holds the pressure at WOT and accelerating

Im sure some one will add more or correct me  :happy2:

It's just a mechanical swap. No coding is required.
