« on: February 19, 2013, 05:53:15 pm »
Hello all, I would appreciate a little help if possible...... I have a 07 dsg gti.
Now after fixing the Pcv ( the muppet who I bought it off had blocked the breather pipe with two bolts for some reason ) air flow issue the engine management light has now come on with

01089 evap emission control system incorrect flow
P0441 lower limit reached intermittent

Doin my head in any ideas why this would come up ???
The car runs sweet with no idle problems no cold start issues.

This is what Ross Rech say:-

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16825/P0441/001089

The Check Engine Light (CEL) is on. Trouble code P0441 (16825).
Tests/Procedures:
1. Check function of the N80 canister control valve. The valve is a normally closed valve that is duty-cycled open by the Engine Control Module (ECM) to purge the canister. The valve can become varnished and sticky. Verify that the valve fully opens and closes and does not leak (either by manually applying power and ground to the solenoid or activating the solenoid with a scan tool through the output diagnostic test mode).

2. The solenoid must fully open (release vacuum) when activated and fully close (hold vacuum in both directions) when deactivated.

3. Inspect the solenoid for contamination and clean as necessary.
Potential Causes:
N80 Canister Purge Solenoid
Vacuum Line

Summary
The N80 canister purge solenoid should resolve your problem and is a popular replacement
