2.0 tfsi head gasket

as above anyone had any head gasket issues with there 2.0tfsi? :-[

Nope never on both my MK5 GTI's very rare issue on these engines ?

If you've noticed a whitish mayonnaise type substance on only your oil filler cap it's nothing to worry about. Happens in cold weather with short trips.

Agreed ^^ keep it in a low gear about 4th and you will burn off all the emulsion as I call it, just to do with cold weather, short runs not allowing the oil to recirculate properly.  :happy2:

I read a buyers guide for the mk5 gti a while back, and apparently someone had head gasket failure due to running the car on ordinary 95RON unleaded!!

Not head of that failure on here though. . .

Not head of that failure on here though. . .

This was also mentioned in a Mk5 GTi review I read a few years ago... cylinder head problems casued by running om 95 RON  :confused: I use Super anyway, stage1  :happy2:

I have heard a few times about head gasket problems on cars running long term on 95 RON.
