Hey mate, be careful when choosing the struts because they will deform the boot if they are too strong *EVEN* if at first sight they seem to close ok.
A friend of mine had this problem with this carbon bonnet after 2 months! (when installed it looked/aligned perfect)

Thanks for the heads up mate, i will probaly not bother using the struts on it, im using one on my bonnet for approx a year and seems okay.. which bonnet was it do you know?

Thanks for the info mate. How many kilos do you think it's shaved off the rear end?

without the window in there is a huge difference mate.. when my lexan rear screen comes and is fitted i will remove it and weight them both, im sure there will still be a very good weight saving with the rear screen fitted especially a lexan one

Struts direct will do you oem spec/ fitment struts but at a lower force. They do adjustable ones so you can get it just right.

sounds like the perfect solution.. not decided wether going to use a strut on it not or yet, but thanks for that

found an r32 rear today, hopefully be here tomorrow and i will drop it down the sprayers.. hoping to have the car back together for the 11th for audi driver international at combe and get back on track

just need to get a new catback made up now to go with the bumper and i need a new taillight, cant decided to keep the ed30/r32 lights or go valeos

The fit of that Seibon part looks really flush. I'd personally go for Valeos with the carbon boot for better contrast. The R32/ED30 are too dark now and would look better on another tornado red GTI.

Bit scratched up but should come up well with some prepping and paint
