GB Rules
« on: February 21, 2013, 02:40:25 pm »
Some GBs i'm quite interested in but always find myself having to find out how much of a saving we are getting as the OPs don't always seem to mention it.

Any possibility we could get this as mandatory for any GB listings?

I know at the end of the day a saving is a saving but if we are involved in GBs i would expect a saving which matches the bulk orders we sometimes place.

I don't see it as a rule, more of an advisary. Although most people know what they are buying into. For example the GB I recently set up wuld have cost you around £65-70 from any retailer with the rising prices.

I do agree its a good idea, but I feel it cannot be forced & surely prices could be from anywhere. So I could have quoted retail price for boot pop £299. When thats not true...  I hope this helps, and it's not written in riddles

Most group buys tell you the cost of one item and the cost of a GB item. But agree it should be mandatory.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

How do you expect this to work? Do you want the op to quote the manufactures recommended price or the cheapest price they can find on the net for the product. I know if i was buying or interested in buying then i would do my own research.  :stupid: it would only take 10 mins on tinternet.

All i'm proposing is for the OP to advise the original (or current) price the retailer/manufacturer (he/she is using) sells the item for together with the GB price in order to see the discounted rate at 1st glance.
i think its apparent to the general population we can "all do our own research"  :stupid: but having a benchmark to work with i think would be a good idea.

TBH in general, if you do your research you can get your items cheaper, but i just think it would be a good element to have as standard when posting GBs

This is only my view...
