Newbie with an Edition 30 Stage 1
« on: February 22, 2013, 04:05:12 pm »
Hi guys!

I'm Billy and I drive a stage 1 GTI Edition 30. Throwing around 305 bhp which isn't too bad!

Also have an Audi RS3 which is an absolute beast! Completed a stage 1 upgrade and put Decat pipes within it! Throwing around 425 BHP which is BEASTLY!

Always looking for parts so shout me!

What other mods does your 305bhp car have billy?

Was gonna say if you simply have a remap, then your 75bhp gain is highly unlikely fella :-)

Oh and yes :worthless:

What mods do you have? Is it just the map?

And how do those two cars compare side by side on the road?

Well there both quick cars but because the RS3 is Quattro it just sets of straight away and the edition 30 is just spinning behind

We've tried them when they're rolling and the edition 30 keeps up! The RS3 is just too quick especially after it's map because the turbo lag has reduced but saying that the Edition 30 has scared away many cars!

The golfs had just a Custom Stage 1 re map with a forge dump valve. As it's a KO4 it's got the potential to reach that

Looking to put a Miltek system and an induction kit next maybe towards summer!

Wow! You lucky boy! 2 awesome cars.  All the stage 1 edition 30s I've seen have been between 295 an 305

I'm thinking of getting my edition 30 mapped stage 1. Did you have it before it was mapped?  Big difference mate? The RS3 must eat it alive though surely?!

Haha thanks mate!

The edition 30 isn't bad standard I just feel that there's a bit of lag when you foot down. When it's mapped there's no funny business and of it goes!

RS3 eats it and spits it back out! That car is awesome but for some weird reason I like my golf more! Haha

I had a custom map done and we ensured that it was 305bhp and ran it on dyno. I had it fully serviced when I got it remapped, new diverter valve and a heck load of Shell V Power

Looks like I need to pay a visit to revo with mine then.

The RS3 has the upper hand with the 4WD though.

Welcome along anyway mate. More mods to follow I'm sure!
