^^^
D is more solid but the design means it will still leak some boost even from new when compared to a G as the rubber diaphragm design is more leak proof...well until it splits.

Although I recently changed my 6 year old rev C (rubber diaphragm) and it was fine.

Mine sounds like the second one, so I'm glad it's not that bad

^^^^ replace it with a Revision G as a matter of course. Only £40 and worth every penny.  :happy2:

Actually dealer says £28 inc. VAT, so even better. Thanks

Your dealer isn't the stealer I usually visit then

Yeah I thought it was a lot cheaper than everyone says on here. I might buy a load and sell them on  :happy2: haha

That's another job for the weekend then! No whooshing but it's good to know everythings in good working order.

What mileage do they usually start failing?

Recently changed mine for a G because the original had split. Feels great again now. The lift off 'whoosh' is a bit quieter than old one always was, but I don't mind too much.

Mines noisy, like the second video. My car is going to the stealers on thursday as an airbag light has come up so they are fixing that. My car is under warranty so i dont wanna touch it atm, how do i ask them to check it? Or do i check it myself and if its split ask them to check it? (Although ill already know its split)

What rev was your old one?

I'm not sure. It was the one that came fitted from new in '05.

Ah ok probably rev a or b then. It seems to be the rev b's that are splitting. Not so much the c's.

Mines an 08 edition 30 on 49k is it worth me changing mine I think k I can hear a whistling on acceleration but wouldn't mind changing it for piece of mind, is there only these 'G'  versions available as an upgrade or is there any aftermarket/uprated solutions?

Also does anyone have the part numbers be for the great version?  :D

Defo change it! Even if its only for piece of mine, that's what I did and mine was split all the way round :/ you could go with a forge aftermarket one but I'm sure this is around the £200-£300 mark.. A revised G is the latest revision.. Part no is 06F 145 710G
