I have an ED30 and was woundering what the difference is between a 2.0TFSI engine and the new'er MK6 TSI engine?

with the TSI engine you don't have to worry about Cam follower issues?

woulnt say that, tsi 200/211bhp will tune to 280bhp with 300ftlb on stg1 with 99ron fuel.
bolt on an exhaust, k04, intake and 360bhp and 366 ftlb.

Holy crap do the tsi really stage 1 to 280!!?  That new turbo must do some witchcraft to keep the EGTs down, is it twin scroll?

Yup JKM motorsport have a TSI KO4 Octavia Vrs running 360 Bhp or so.

The TSI turbo is IHI not Borg Warner and it is actually smaller but TSI head flows better than TFSI and the HPFP is good for the tune whereas there are logs to show the TFSI HPFP drops off even on stage 1.

The JKM car is more than that. 

A Revo stage 1 TSI is 250hp but 340lbft.

Seems a bit more like it, torque is up there though, bet the clutch loves that!

The owner was being conservative when I spoke to him or he has added more?

Revo Stage 1 is 270bhp/310lbft & Stage 2 is 300bhp/345lbft, figures taken straight from the file Revo sent me.

My clutch lasted about two weeks with a stage 2 tune, uprated one being fitted imminently.

Remap and bolt on mods have transformed the car and made it immense fun to drive and with the huge torque figure far too easy to achieve high speeds, love it
