S3 injectors
« on: February 25, 2013, 12:22:05 am »
Hello all just a quick one. Im thinking of breathing more power into my gti in stages ie ko4 if i can afford one. exhaust, front mount and remap. I have seen some stage 2+ gtis with s3 injectors and a few ed30s. Do the upgraded s3 injectors need to be fitted in order combined with other upgraded components first. What benefits will i see with s3 injectors.

You need either S3, edition 30 or Rs4 injectors to break the 300bhp barrier (ie with a K04).

You won't see any benefit in just swapping them over before, but your ECU won't like it as your map is set up to work with the ones in your car.

Yes.

There was a classic thread a few months ago...'Sammy' did a KO4 conversion and didn't take all the forum advice and get it remapped. He absolutely raped his engine.

I fitted the k04 and s3 injectors on my car that was stage 2 k03. Just reset the  revo map back to stock via sps and it was fine until I got it mapped. If you don't reset the map you will be boosting a serious amount and in turn break your engine.
