As not decided what I'm doing colour/badge wise with my new handle decided to trial fit today, sticks out a little so might fit some washers to get it sitting back a bit.

Cheers bud.

Not sure what to do with rear handle yet. Like the mk6 badge, might get one and paint the base TR then a grey badge to tie in with wheels.

Speaking of which had one in the front room last night (hope wife doesn't see this  :signLOL:) to clean inside and clean up a bit of curbing one had when I bought them. Ready for winter.

Nice bit of paint on the wheels, metalic fleck in it.

One down, three to go  :happy2:

Cheers mate. Great looking wheels, bonus light weight too.

Silver TDs on the black edition look mean.

Great work as always Si!

Very subtle touch with the switches - would you mind telling me how you removed the drivers side handle? I've looked at the guides and couldn't get it to budge on mine.
Passenger side was very easy!

This is where I say I miss the mkiv - so easy to work on, and the plastics are not as brittle as on the mkv!

Îm thinking of refurbing my standard eddy wheels black with a Red lip to match the red line round the front grill. But on the other hand a set of pro race will look the nuts when the S3 brakes are fitted this week  :jumping: think I've seen your gti near megaplex a few times?

Just read through your thread. Some great mods. Really do have a soft spot for the TD's. Look fantastic. So what's next?

Also took the plunge and ordered up a RamAir induction kit, arrived today.

Must say very impressed with the quality of the kit. All silicon, hard pipe, anodised clamps, massive foam filter, plus filter heat shield. Plus full detailed/pictured fitting instructions.

Once fitted will update with feedback.

All fitted  :happy2:

Will get some better pics up soon. Very straight forward to do tho, only took me about 30 minutes in my garage after work the other night.

Sound not very loud at all (what I wanted) so may not appeal to those wishing for a louder intake. Can hear the air and then slight dump valve type noise when you release the pedal. Can drive without making very little noise if gentle on the pedal.

Drives much the same, some people say get slight lose of low down torque with induction kits. But overall very pleased with fit and performance. Air intake 70mm and same size from filter to turbo now so must be a smoother path for the air to take.

Very pleased with filter heat shield too, utilizes factory mounting points (you use two of the engine mount rubbers) very well.

Just need to look at modifying the original cover now, or get a TTRS one as I personally prefer to have it covered.

Few mobile pics of removal and fitting.

Engine cover off, remove intake pipe from turbo and fit new induction.

Filter heat shield uses two of the orignal engine cover mounts. If not refitting the cover is ok, I am so I've ordered up two from VW.

Once the engine cover back on, must say think will look very neat and tidy under there. Plus the big filter adds something nice to look at
