Good write up Si - look forward to finished pics once you have the engine cover back on.

God, I thought the 1.8t was a busy engine bay - nothing compared to the 2.0t, eh?!!

Cheers guys  :happy2:

Dosh - I bought the switches from the Classifieds off here. But originally are from bold-sport.com.

Thanks Dave, yeah is a busy engine bay, looking at sorting the cover soon.

Was good to catch up Jake, nice to meet a fellow Mk5 owner. Edition30 is lovely, does feel more special that the stock GTi. Lucky yours is three door, otherwise might have nabbed your seats

Got some more bits to come...

^^^^ Saw your car in Tesco's car park today at around 1ish, looked good fella (even in all that rain).

Was going to leave a funny note on your windscreen but my wife said  "grow up!"  :signLOL:  :sad1:

Like wise was good to meet someone else with the same interest's. I love the eddy seats they hold you in perfectly.
had no joy with the deep 24mm spline socket after work so searching the interweb for one. Didn't really notice how dirty other peoples cars are until you park next to them  :signLOL:

Cheers Jake.

Few more bits this week.

Picked up two more engine gromets (so can trim engine cover and fit back on), plus a back coolant cap to match washer.

Also took a gamble on a Newsouth boost gauge on eBay, is the Audi white one. Would prefer matching blue I think (is anyone has one and fancies a swap drop me a PM) But I think looks ok the white next to blue.

Also got a vent pod gauge holder. Great bit of kit and fits perfect. Got the Newsouth no buzz kit from Awesome GTi as well. Fitted all last night with guides on here. Fairly straight forward. Hardest part was getting the vacume pipe threw the bonnet catch grommet!  :fighting:

Lots of swearing but got there in the end. Routed all the cabling neatly under the bonnet. Wired up red wire from gauge to grey in the light switch then earthed the black. Job done, will take out later to make sure all 100%

Very pleased with another few productive mods  :happy2:
