I would use Zaino z5 and z8 together on Red. If you no longer have swirls, then you won't beat that combo for all round shine and durabilty.

VC wax on red is good but there are better..

Great work this far though  :happy2:

Wheel options?

Refurb Monzas, standard finish or silver
Edition 30 BBS
BBS LM reps
Fat fives

or 19' Helios (would be next year as big money)

Good stuff Si - am sure the condition of the mk5 is getting up to your level

I want some new mats for mine, but the price of OEM ED30 mats is absolutely eye-watering... I've put in some rubber ones for day-to-day though!

Sorry I've not replied to you on my thread ref. the boot pop mod - in complete honesty, I haven't had a chance to fit it yet!!
Still seems a worthwhile mod though...

Cheers,
Dave

I know mate, even with my discount the fronts on their own for mine were £50.

Cool might invest in boot pod mod then as my gas struts need changing.

Would look great! I've never seen a mk5 in the metal wearing Fat Fives, have seen the other wheels you listed tho', guess Fives are rarer!?

Imagine this but in Tornado Red!  :happy2:

GTI sticker for the dash trim is a nice touch too.

Cheers buddy, will take a look.

So some small updates.

Fitted my private plate:

Nice to see original dealer plates and tax disc holder too:

Fitted my GTI dash sticker:

Victoria Concourse wax arrived, gave the car another detail in my garage, very pleased with the results:

Plus got round to some mainantance, fitted the new cam follower, pleased I did as mine clearly starting to show signs of wearing:

All back together:

Will get out with the camera now the weather is getting better aswell, promise.

Sorry for the slow progress on this one  :fighting2:

Gave the front disc hubs a coat of silver hi-temp paint as the sun was out this weekend:

Also picked up some AP coilovers from the classifieds!  :jumping:

Just need to order some rear shocks from DPM.
