Evo triangle meet / drive
« on: May 15, 2013, 07:25:17 pm »
Hello,

One of my friends from another forum is arranging an Evo triangle meet and drive. It's a multi make thing and I wondered if anyone here would be interested?

Details are posted below.

Quote from the facebook group below:-

I am going to post below a suggested meeting point for people travelling the M54/A5 way below, and anyone who will be coming another route can meet up with us at the Rhug Estate near the Evo Triangle. All of the details will be below. There is allocated parking for us around the estate, should also give us some good opportunities for photos etc.  For breakfast there will be a choice of cooked or a light breakfast, its completely up to you guys.

Once we have filled up, we can then make our way to the Evo Triangle. I will have printed maps of the area to give to everybody when we arrive so if anyone does think they have made a wrong turn, all of the postcodes, and the area etc will be on this print off, along with my mobile number.I would assume that we will be stopping off around the traingle to enjoy the sights and give our breaks a chance to cool down, and again take some good photos!  After we have finished the triangle, the plan is to drive down to Betsy coed, which is not far down the road. Really picturesque and nice town in Snowdonia on where we can grab a bite to eat and browse.

Then weather depending we can head down to Barmouth which is roughly about 30-40 minutes away. A very nice sea side town, one of the best in Britain in my opinion with some fantastic coastal roads. As you will be able to see from the links and images below, we have a choice of routes from Betyscoed to Barmouth also, either a coastal road, or directly through Snowdonia National Park. Again if we get the weather, this will be superb! Barmouth and Betsycoed both only have pay & display car parks so ensure you bring some change for those

All of the links and details are below for everyones reference. There are also plenty of B&B's available in Betsycoed and Barmouth. So if anyone is travelling with a partner and would like to enjoy a short weekend away in Wales, I would suggest taking advantage of booking one!I would also like to say this is now confirmed for the weekend of the 29/30th of June, I;m swinging more towards the Saturday as people can then stay over onto the Sunday if they wish. Unless there is a severe weather warning of tidal waves, hurricanes or tornados, we will be going! :hyper:

All of the links are below. I hope we can get as many people to attend as possible. Theres roughly 7 of us so far, the more the better! If anyone has any further suggestions please put them forward as they could of course be a lot better than mine. Look forward to everyones responses. The last part to mention was of course times, I will be posting a meeting time probably 1-2 weeks before that weekend, just so its fresh in everyones minds, I'm probably going to look at about 9am.

I think the plan is for it to be the Saturday in case anyone is travelling a good distance and wants to stay over. Hope you can still make it!
