Control module for MK5 wheel advice please?

Hi all,
As the car is going back to standard I am taking out my MK6 wheel and putting back in the MK5 one.
Can anyone confirm if I need to take out the module too and put the mk5 one, or can I leave the MK6 one in?
If it needs swapping, any one know of any for sale, and is any coding required?

You can leave the mk6 CH controller in

although if you can find a basic one cheaply, you can sell the CH one

I have a 1KO 953 549 F laying round.  Ed put me a CH module in for a mk6 MFSW wheel a few weeks back, drop me a pm if you're interested Al.  The 549 was used on a non mfsw mk5 wheel before the swap.

The F was probably what you would have had from the factory
