How To: Mk5 Heated Seats Retrofit

I think you will need to add the wires to your existing loom or unpick the old loom and replace with a kufatec one. Either way, I think you'll need some wiring diagrams to figure out which wires / pins to add / remove. You may be able to figure it out from the info in my guide.

Thanks Jas,

I was hoping that, because I already have heated seats with the temperature controls as part of the Climatronic, I could avoid going down the Kufatec wiring loom route if I purchased a 2006 leather interior for my 2005 car.  In otherwords I would just need to concentrate on getting a power and earth to the electric lumber adjustment.  However it looks little more complicated than that... :sad1:

I will certainly use your guide if I decide to go ahead.  Thank you for a posting a great guide.

I think it will just be running a wire(s) to the fuse box and to the correct pin on the seat plug, just figuring out which.
I'll have a look and see if I can rejog my memory.

Thank you!
Here I was thinking my first mod will be heated leather seats...got the seats but not man enough to try this as my first bit of wiring in a car, ever. :chicken:
