help newcastle adjust injection cam
« on: March 03, 2013, 09:37:58 pm »
as title.
have mk5 2.0 gttdi had timing belt done & dont think they reset injection cam.
had forum member Damoegan scan my car torsion value at -2.9 within spec but bottom of scale.
would rather was +0.5 as getting bad fuel economy & hard start

Don't pay again, take it back to the garage that fitted the cambelt?

Hi pdt I have another thread on here where as the garage who did timing belt.
When I was due to collect car guy came out asked me if my car started ok normally because car wouldnt start.
He then had to start over.
When I collected car he explained belt had jumped a tooth.
So no confidence to go back.

shame, might be worth putting it in writing to him and asking for him to pay for the work to be rectified.

hi anyone have idea how much would be to get my TB rechecked & IP cam set-up correctly.
money a bit tight at the moment but would be happy to offer beer tokens if anyone has the knowledge & free time,
