K03 and k04? Do exhausts only got one or the other ? I'm confused

In a bit confused , since joining a week ago I've read loads of posts  and looked for new bits . What I'm lost over is my car has a k04 turbo , so does this mean exhausts that have came off a golf with k03 won't fit mine ? What else is different cos I've got a ko4 ?

K03 and K04 stock exhausts are the same

Right so next question is if its an aftermarket one is it possible it can fit one but not the other ? There's an exhaust in the for sale section I fancy but it came off a ko3 so I'm not if it will fit or if I'm

Not sure about other brands but Milltek downpipes are narrower for K03 (2.75in IIRC) and K04 is 3in.

Pipewerx just do a 3in downpipe for both K03/4.

I think on the newer Millteks they changed it so it's just 3" for both GTI and Ed30.

Mmmmm will email the Bloke selling the exhaust and see if there's a serial number or something on it . It is a milltek one

I would also like to know this is the down pipes the same then off the different turbos?

On standard cars, yes both downpipes are the same

So when fitting a modified exhaust whats different? He down pipe size? Or the flange? Etc?

Same same as stated in the first reply

K03 and k04 flange is exactly the same on all exhausts and are interchangable. I think i know the one you are on about in the for sale section and yes it will.
