Fitting Bluetooth Kit
« on: March 05, 2013, 08:37:15 pm »
Hi guys

I need help fitting my new FISCON basic bluetooth kit. I have an integrated mic on the way, but have no idea where to put all the wires and if it'll need coding etc... Is anyone able to help? I'm in Newbury, Berkshire...

Thanks

Em

This shows how to feed the mic wires through. I used it when I fitted my RNS and found it brilliant to follow.

Thanks for that... Looks complicated to me  :jumping:  :signLOL: And I have MFD2 which doesn't display anything from the phone I don't think... Hmm, will have a look into it in more detail

Hi Emily

Check the guides in your PMs from recently, the one above is helpful for OEM bluetooth but the Fiscon is simpler.

Basically a quick guide is - you remove the stereo, plug in the Fiscon looms, leave the Fiscon box down the back of headunit in the massive void, run the mic up under steering wheel and past fuses, you can pry back the A pillar without removing it and feed up the mic wire trying to keep it inside the rubber, peel back roof lining and feed through mic (or remove sunvisor etc as guide above), remove roof lighting plastics and push in the mic.

And you're right, the bluetooth works independently of the MFD2 even although it is plugged into it.

Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Thanks David, that doesn't sound too bad - got a bit worried as the above guide looks hard  :signLOL:

I'll give it a go and hopefully will all go to plan!
