Question is which rubber, i have sportmax on the rears at present but want a reletively quiet tyre with decent grip???? engineer

recommended toyo R1's but they would wear out in 5 minutes for town commuting etc. Perhaps Michelins????

thoughts anyone???? which rubber is best?

Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas perhaps ?  Hurdy rates them "very good" so far

Cheaper than Michelins and have a lot of good reviews by Scooby drivers  :happy2:

Rated as the best subjective "on the road tyre" in the EVO Golf GTI tyre test last year

How do you rate the Dunlop Sportmaxx ????  My new car has them ...... :scared:

Greeners:
Result there then Steve  :happy2:

I've been most happy with the Michelin's too!

You have to pay a bit extra for the "good 'uns",  just like we all did for our GTI's!

On my last 3 cars, (TT Roadster 225, A3 3.2 and S4 4.2) I have swapped bwtween Conti' 3's, Dunlops and then Michelins, the Michelins were by far the much better tyre.
