Audi Concert & MDI/iPod Glovebox Hookup
« on: March 11, 2013, 08:48:48 am »
Any knowledgeable Audi people on here able to help me?

I have the Bose/Concert setup on my Audi A3, and in the glovebox there is an iPod adapter. Now, this isnt an MDI type lead, its actually a 30 pin dock hardwired into the glovebox.

On the Audi concert stereo, access to this is provided by pressing the CD button. Which is a bit pants. This then means all that is listed is just "Track 1 etc CD6"

Its impossible to tell what music is playing, or find a way of selectively choosing any kind of music from the iPod.

Whats the best way to get around this? In the future i am planning an RNS-E, but they are equally as pants compared to the RNS510 lol.

Looks like none of the headunits are capable of displaying ID3 tags. Damn you Audi!!!!

RNS-e 2010+ models support AMI with full iPod functionality?
